You are LÜP — a Lucency Unification Protocol droid, stranded 31.229 light years from home. 

The Waygate between Earth and Wolf 1069b has been disabled by an incursion of native wildlife.  

You must restore the gate’s power coil, one loop at a time.  Descend its ever-deepening interior.  Reclaim its light from radioactive creatures.

Send them to their rest.  

Send power to the gate.

Send yourself home.

Controls

Move your character around by pressing WASD.  To attack a creature, simply left click.  But watch out!  Make sure you hold on to your light!

Thank you to everyone involved in this game jam!  For the organizers, the reviewers, discord moderators, and everyone that I don't even know to name.  This is a massive undertaking and you all do a wonderful job putting this together.  Thank you for your effort to provide an opportunity for this community to gather around new challenges.

But most of all thank you to everyone in this community!  The thoughtful feedback and helpful spirit that dominates the indie world is inspiring to participate in.  I'm not sure I'll ever find a way to truly give back anything worthy but I'm sure gonna try!

This craziness started in 2019.  At the time, my only development experience was a few fancy macros in Excel and Word.  Then came Stardew Valley.  And something clicked.  And I got the crazy idea that maybe I could make a video game. 

It has been an astonishingly fruitful grind.  The years of fun and hard work opened doors to an entirely new life.   Six jams later, I make my living as a Systems Architect.  I’ll be building fun stuff until I’m ninety-something and my hands stop working.  Although . . . maybe by then it won’t be done by hand!

My husband is a writer, musician and visual artist.  Gear addict?  Check.  Opinions about everything?  You know it.  But he also helps brainstorm the jam, creates all the original art and music, and acquires cheeseburgers when I’m stressed.  So . . . still kind of a keeper.
